Ecuador is located in Western South America, bordering the Pacific Ocean at the Equator. Ecuador is a beautiful country blessed with many natural beauties, including a mystic mountainous terrain that is part of the Andes, a rich Amazon jungle, beautiful beaches and the magical Galapagos Islands.
Ecuador has been tainted by high unemployment and high poverty rates. It is estimated that 33% of the families in Ecuador live in poverty.
While the adoption of the U.S. Dollar in 2000 and the export of valuable primary resources such as oil, bananas, and flowers offer new promise, we hope that the current government will set Ecuador in the right path towards a more stable and self-reliant economy.
